If so, then home health care may be what you need!
It can be a challenging adjustment to living independently after natural events like aging, illness, or disability. But do not fear, we can help! Our skilled and knowledgeable clinicians and caregivers are trustworthy, dependable, and kindhearted. All have been thoroughly screened and passed all background checks prior to being hired. Many are certified in specialized areas, such as lymphedema management, parkinsons, heart failure, or wound care. They all provide specialized, dedicated assistance needed to ensure a happy and healthy life.
**All caregivers are overseen by a registered nurse from our agency with input from family/loved ones on all services rendered (i.e. loved ones can make requests for specialty assistive care services)
What are Assistive Care Services?
- Assistive care includes personal help with bathing, grooming, medication reminders, mobility, transferring, ambulating, and more. This care is provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistiants (PCAs) who are special trained to help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
- Homemakers help with some of the activities that do not require more advanced training . For example, help with laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, meals, driving to appointments etc
- Companions help provide mental and emotional support and is someone who spends time with your loved one.
What to know before choosing a Home Health Care Agency
- You have a right to choose your home health care agency - even if a hospital suggests one for you, do your own research, and let them know if you prefer another.
- Look for an agency with a care philosophy dedicated to putting patients needs first, and takes ALL patients, or has specialists on board.
- Ask questions including:
